Support patients during their cancer treatment

About Us

My brother is a baseball player. Cancer struck him in the fall of his junior year in high school when he diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has received phenomenal medical treatment and care, and we are eternally grateful for the outpouring support from friends, family and the community!  Thus, we wanted to give back.  We founded, Extra Innings, a nonprofit organization that provides support for cancer patients and their families.

Extra Innings is focused on providing support during treatment through small, but significant actions that impact the daily lives of patients and families. As AJ began receiving treatment, we discovered tricks and remedies that eased the intensity of chemotherapy which can span over many days in the hospital or clinic. Boredom can quickly seep in especially for young kids, so it’s important to have activities available.

Emotional support is a crucial part of the process, and while financial assistance is important, there are many other aspects that may be overlooked such as fruit roll ups to wrap medications in for young children, snacks, and activities.
